Anna went to McGill University in Canada, where she completed a Masters degree in Human Nutrition. She is also registered as a dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO), Canada, and is a member of Dietitians of Canada. In New Zealand, Anna provides services under the title Nutritionist, as she has not yet sought membership with the Dietitians Board in NZ.

Anna has most recently completed a certificate program in Plant-Based Nutrition with the internationally recognised T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University.

Anna also currently works within the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the University of Otago, Dunedin. Anna is‍‍‍ a current member of the Nutrition Society of NZ and OraTaiao- the NZ Climate & Health Council.
